Frequently asked questions
I support people experiencing anxiety, stress and burnout, low self-esteem and self-confidence, depression and low mood, trauma and PTSD, sleep difficulties, and panic attacks.
You may be feeling overwhelmed, judging yourself harshly or finding that familiar patterns keep getting in your way. Together, we’ll explore what you’re experiencing and what you would like to change.
I offer individual counselling to adults aged 18 and over. I don’t currently work with children, couples or groups.
Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) is a practical, action-oriented form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). REBT looks at the whole person and their system of beliefs, rather than focusing on symptoms only. It explores how your beliefs and expectations influence the way you feel, behave and respond to life’s challenges.
Together, we examine rigid beliefs that may be adding pressure or keeping you stuck, such as “I must always get things right” or “I’m such a failure”. We develop more flexible alternatives and practise different ways of responding, helping you build skills you can use beyond therapy.
It is an approach that can be successfully applied to a wide range of emotional issues.
Yes. Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) is a form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which belongs to the family of talking therapies. Through conversation, we explore your experiences and how your beliefs influence the way you feel and respond to difficulties.
REBT also has a strong practical focus. I take an active role, helping you question unhelpful beliefs, explore different perspectives and practise new ways of responding. Together, we agree on activities to try between sessions, helping you turn understanding into changes in everyday life and build skills you can use independently.
I qualified with distinction in 2023, completing a three-year Advanced Diploma in Integrative CBT–REBT Counselling with the College of CBT. My training included a two-year internship with Headstrong Counselling, providing individual therapy to adults.
I’m an accredited counsellor with the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.).
In 2025, I completed a certification in Trauma-Informed Practice with Mindbody Breakthrough. This certification provides a solid foundation in understanding the neuroscience of trauma including PTSD, complex PTSD, and secondary trauma. The course is quality checked by the NCPS.
I recently completed continuous development courses on ‘recovery from narcissistic abuse’ and ‘cultural sensitivity in counselling practice’.
I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation before you begin counselling. You can tell me what brings you here, ask questions and explore whether my approach feels right for you.
We’ll revisit this in our first session, when I explain how CBT–REBT works in more detail. If we establish that another approach would better suit you or your particular difficulties, I may be able to refer you to a different specialist.
You’re also welcome to share any concerns along the way, so we can explore what’s working for you and what might need to change.
You can also decide to end therapy at any point during our work together if you feel it’s no longer right for you.
I’m based in London and currently work online only, through video calls. Before your first session, I’ll send you a link that you can use each week to join our sessions.
We usually meet weekly, at the same time and on the same day.
Each session lasts 55 minutes and costs £75. We usually meet weekly, at the same time and on the same day.
The length of our work will depend on your needs, your therapeutic goal and your progress. We’ll discuss this together and regularly review how things are going.
Towards the end of therapy, we’ll reflect on what you’ve learned and plan how you can maintain your progress and respond to future difficulties.
We’ll talk about your current concerns and relevant history, explore what you most want to change, and agree on your priorities and a specific, achievable therapeutic goal to guide our work.
I’ll explain how CBT–REBT works and what we can each bring to the process. We’ll also discuss confidentiality, practical arrangements and cancellation policies, with time for your questions.
Yes. Towards the end of each session, we’ll agree on practical activities tailored to your goals and circumstances. These help you apply what you’re learning to everyday challenges, relationships and decisions.
We’ll discuss how you get on, including anything you find difficult, so we can adapt our work together.
